Jim Chisholm, CPP

Jim is a board certified corporate security leader with over a decade of experience in the security industry, along with eight years of elite military experience as a Royal Marines Commando in the United Kingdom.

During his time in the Royal Marines, Jim completed five combat deployments - Iraq (2), Afghanistan (2), and Sierra Leone. Along with being desert, mountain, arctic, jungle and amphibious warfare trained, he has deployed alongside UK Special Forces and the Australian Special Operations Task Group. Jim is also a certified Maritime Security, Ship Security Officer (SSO).

Jim has worked extensively in corporate security and training in sectors including oil and gas, petro-chemical, port facilities, residential, hospitality, and commercial. He has managed corporate security for a publicly traded company, where he developed and implemented all security policies and procedures. Jim has comprehensive experience managing large-scale event security around the US, as well as planning and conducting executive protection (EP) operations for celebrities, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, business leaders, and their families.

Jim is a Range Master and Live Fire Shoot House Instructor, Active Shooter Response Instructor and Taser Instructor. He has spent time as the lead instructor for the premier firearms and tactical training company on the Gulf Coast, instructing law enforcement, military and civilians on weapons ranging from pepper spray to AK variants. He also trained these groups in various tactics including home defense, low light techniques, close quarter combat (CQC) and active shooter response. In addition to his firearms and tactical training, Jim is also credited in writing the security syllabus for the largest security company in the United States, Gulf Coast region.

Jim lives in Northern Michigan with his wife and young daughter. He is a keen cyclist and is passionate about Texas Barbecue.
